Be part of the crash
For us to make this event a success we need your support. Happily, there are a number of ways you can join the stampede and be part of Rhino Mania. To begin with, absolutely anyone can enter – your entry fee or donation will contribute towards the fundraising.
Percy the People's Rhino
What’s this about?
How would you like to decorate your own section of a rhino? Percy the People’s Rhino is kindly donating his entire surface area to the public, so you can sponsor an area of it to create your own design. Percy will then be covered from horn to hoof with your designs, and proudly put on display in Chester from early July to mid September 2010.
How much does it cost?
Very little – only £5 per entry.
How does this work?
Easy! Just download a rhino template and guidelines or pick one up from the Chester Visitor Centre. Let your imagination go wild and send your design to us at the address displayed.
Alternatively, drop it into us at the Visitor Centre with your entry fee (cheques made payable to The Chester Renaissance).
The deadline for submitting your rhino design is 31st August.
Illustrated Story Competition
Over the past several weeks children have been using their imagination to create rhino stories of their own. Some of these stories have been posted here at the ILLUSTRATED STORIES PAGE.
One lucky story writer will win a 12 month family pass for 4 to Chester Zoo.
