Rhino Artists
Artists are the foundation stone on which the success of Rhino Mania rests. The
Rhinos are a blank canvas for artists to express themselves; moreover, projects
such as this provide a window for us to see into the artist's imagination - some of
their rhino creations are funny, some poignant, some beautiful.
All of the artists involved in Rhino Mania are working phenomenally hard, and this is evident in the exceptional quality of the designs. Here are just a few of the incredible artist working to make Rhino Mania one of the most exciting art events in the country...

Martin Band
Martin enthusiastically assisted by daughter Bella created 'Elvis' - one of two Rhinos Martin was commissioned to paint for Rhino Mania. Director of Environmental Associates, an Urban Design and Landscape Architecture practice, Martin regularly gets involved in the design of streetscape, civic spaces and gardens, always aiming to bring something new, creative and invigorating to the designs that his practice produce. www.environmentalassociates.net |

Fiona Meakin
Fiona graduated with a Masters degree in Drawing from Wimbledon College of Art in 2007, since then she has been developing her illustration and textile practice as well as working as a teaching assistant. Earlier this year she completed a residency at Nexus Art Cafe in Manchester where she explored themes around fairytales and hair by leading workshops in felt making and storytelling. Claire McCann
Claire graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a BA(hons) in Graphic Arts (Animation) in 2009; for 'Rhino Mania' Claire wanted to create something reminiscent of happy summer days, something bright, colourful and preferably edible, so Banana-Rhino Split was born! Sophie Green
Sophie Greens work is influenced by many things; bright colour, shapes and nature. Her recent work reflects her background in graphic design, her love of illustration and an obsession with cats, which cannot be avoided! Sophie's work can currently be viewed at various galleries and exhibitions around Liverpool. A prolific artist for Wild in Art events, Sophie's also designed a penguin for the 2010 Go Penguins event in Liverpool. |
